For the challenge of building a prosperous and smart Bangladesh in the 21st century, there is no alternative to quality education to build up a well-educated, science-minded and talented nation awakened with the spirit of liberation war. In order to ensure this, in the sincere efforts of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, under the project of establishing 6 government colleges and 11 government secondary schools in Dhaka city, this college started its higher secondary education program at Duaripara, Rupnagar of Mirpur in the centre of Dhaka in 2018. Duaripara Government College, situated amidst natural beauty, is now a self-sufficient educational institution.

The use of information technology in education, multimedia classrooms, well-equipped libraries for students, digital content, Wi-Fi zones, dynamic websites, and the use of modern information technology including the internet have made the institution attractive to everyone.

Above all, there are highly skilled professionals from different stages of the BCS (General Education) cadre involved in the educational program here. This college has therefore gained special attention and attraction from the students of the new generation.
